The Wittgenstein Foundation in Skjolden can offer guiding in Norwegian and English on the trail to and inside the Wittgenstein house on the following issues:

• the life and work of Wittgenstein in Skjolden, and his contact with the local people
• the history about the Wittgenstein house
• his background from Vienna and the university of Cambridge
• very briefly about his philosophy.

Start and end of the guiding is at the public parking place next to Vassbakken Kro og Camping. The duration of the guiding is appr. 2 hours. The walking time to the house is appr. 30 minutes. Be aware that parts of the track are steep or covered with rocks. You should bring good shoes, like sneakers with a solid sole, or mountain hiking boots.

The price for the guiding per group is NOK 1600 + NOK 100 per person in entrance fee for the house. The entrance fee for students and teenagers is 50 NOK, and children are free.

Due to limited availability of guides, the service is unfortunately not accessible every day in the season.
